Actor
Nic specialises in subtle, off-beat comedy and Improvisation. Her credits include TV, Film, Theatre and Commercial. She trained at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and is part of comedy duo The Twins Macabre who have written and performed on BBC3’s Live at the Electric and BBCR4’s Sketchorama.
Theatre includes: Graeme of Thrones (Australia/UK Tour/Charing Cross Theatre) and the World Stage Premiere of Richard O'Brien's sequel to the Rocky Horror Show Shock Treatment (King's Head Theatre).
Screen includes: The Thursday Murder Club (Amblin/Netflix), The Vampires of Soho (Paranoid Android) and Netflix and Kill (Amazon). Nic plays the lead in feminist horror comedy feature film Egomaniac (Amazon).
Nic features in commercials for SMA Baby Milk, Procell Batteries, Marmite, Mecca Bingo and Vodafone.
Writer
Nic wrote the book for new musical Gamechanger with writer Adam Rhys-Davies and composer Alex Beetschen which received a shortlisting for the Stiles and Drewe New Musical Award.
Lamont’s first play The Darklings received a VAULT After Dark Award Nomination and was named as one of Lyn Gardner's Top Picks.
Her second play What the Dolls Saw was picked out of 250 entries to be in the inaugural Women’s Writes Festival showcase at The Arcola Theatre and is currently being translated into German for a run at the Blautenburg Theatre, Munich.
During lockdown Nic wrote and produced comedy webseries Ron the Gnome which was aired on BBC Radio Kent.
Nic’s latest play Mary Shelley: Muthamonster premiered at The Pleasance Theatre / London Horror Festival in 2021 and is currently been adapted for a filmed project.
